Choose your admissions pathway

The 2-Year Diploma and the 12-Month Professional Diploma have different requirements. The 6-Month Foundation Certificate is not chosen directly — it is assigned as an outcome of the 2-Year Diploma admissions assessment, where required.

Upload supporting documents

Standard applicants attach results, identification and a photograph. 12-Month pathway applicants additionally attach a CV and a dentist/dental-facility recommendation.

Admissions assessment

2-Year Diploma applicants sit an entrance examination and interview. 12-Month pathway applicants undergo experience verification, examination, interview and a practical skills assessment. Results are recorded against your application by the admissions office.

6 months

Foundation Certificate

Assigned where the 2-Year Diploma admissions assessment indicates further preparation is needed — not selected directly.

2 years

Diploma in Dental Surgery Assistant

The flagship pathway. Entry follows an admissions examination and interview.

12 months

Professional Diploma (Upgrade Pathway)

For practising dental assistants with at least one year of documented experience.
